The main event? The local mountain rainbow trout prepared to your liking. It’s incredibly fresh local Bramlett Trout served by people who still understand the meaning of "Southern hospitality". If trout isn’t your thing, try our Fish n Chips or Salmon. If you’re a meat and potatoes kinda person, our Slow-Braised Prime Rib served every Wednesday could be the meal you’ve been looking for. Spring Lamb is on the menu! Try our LamBurghini! Or our Lamb Chops featured as special weekly. Locally sourced by our friends at Ivylog Meats. Foster Produce bring Fresh fruits and veggies to accompany.

The restaurant is not just IN The Lodge, it is an extension of The Lodge itself. Bringing life to the rough-hewn building.

Take a table for two on the deck overlooking Lower Young Cane Creek, a spring treat in your glass. It’s not about the menu - which is outstanding - it’s about a moment stolen from the wilderness, a brief, perfect reprieve. A feeling that some things, the best things, are found off the beaten path.

No fussy French cuisine here. No delicate amuse-bouches. Just the good, honest food of the South, prepared with a quiet reverence for tradition.

Local Mountain Trout, prepared to your liking. Golden fried chicken; crisp, crackly crust giving way to meaty perfection. Creamy, rich mac and cheese. Prime Rib, slow-roasted with herbs. Bread Pudding, sometimes topped with a pecan crust that balances the savory perfectly, just like Grandma used to make. Comfort food with local Southern flavor served daily (Mondays by reservation). Sunday Supper served family style.

Grab a friend and come on down to enjoy live music, dining specials such as Wednesday night’s Prime Rib, Chef’s Dinners with optional Wine Pairings, Whiskey Dinners and more! Our Dualing Pianos Dinner Shows are a riotous success and Murder Mystery Dinners keep everyone guessing. Live Music every Friday & Saturday on the creekside deck.

The Flying Trout is located between Blue Ridge & Blairsville, GA off Nottely Dam Road just 1 mile off of I-76/575. Tucked in North Georgia's rolling mountains, the restaurant is located inside The Copperhead Lodge.
