Dueling Pianos! The 3rd Tuesday Every Month
You won’t want to miss our monthly visit from The Andrew’s Brothers! For years the premier Dueling Pianos act in Atlanta, the Andrew’s Brothers are now a fixture at The Copperhead Lodge! The crowd picks the songs, so each show is different —- but ALWAYS fun! Part Comedy Show, Part Concert, and Wholly Entertaining!
Ronnie Whims
Americana music that sounds like it’s traveled every backroad from Hiawassee to Tallulah Falls in a vintage Chevy Blazer.
Join us for Folk, Rock, Funk vocals and guitar riffs from this crown fave!
The Wandering Willows Make Their Lodge Debut
They hail from Calhoun, a town known for carpet, but these guys weave something much more here today & gone tomorrow. Not just outlaw country and rock, but guitars that construct a a story that you don’t necessarily tell at a Sunday Supper. They sound as if they’re trying to outrun a North Georgia thunderstorm - earthy & raw - and Saturday night at The Lodge is the perfect place to settle in and share dinner and a song with them before they wander off to the next place!
The First Evening of our Passport Dinner Series
A Greek Feast in the heart of the hollow! Appalachian rustic meets Mediterranean Greek style.
In a collision of worlds—the rugged austerity of the mountains meets the salt-crusted, olive-oil-soaked exuberance of the Aegean. We’ll settle that geographic confusion with a multi-course dinner featuring Greek favorites prepared with North Georgia love!
We have curated a selection of Greek wines for an optional pairing if you’d like! Retsina is in the house! Perhaps a taste of Ouzo from a mason jar? Moussaka anyone?
Get your passport stamped!
The Blonde Takes The Lodge
You walk into The Lodge. Through the rustic haze, you see her. Platinum hair that catches the firelight. A dress that appears poured on by a silversmith. She’s leaning against a rough-sawn pillar, looking like she just stepped off a Lockheed Constellation from Burbank, wondering where the nearest dry martini might be found.
She begins to sing. That breathy, velvet voice that made GI’s weep. "I Wanna Be Loved by You." In this place? Among the hikers and the trout fishermen? It’s absurd. It’s intoxicating. It’s the kind of evening that makes you realize that glamour doesn't need a red carpet; it just needs a spotlight and a mountain.
By the time the trout is served, you’re in 1953. And she’s looking right at you.
Dress code: Casual lodge or Hollywood glam. (We suggest the latter - just for fun!).
Tuesday night is club night at The Copperhead Lodge. Join us for Hollywood Glam meets Mountain casual! Marilyn Monroe as performed by Sheri! An evening you’ll surely enjoy!
Easter at The Lodge
While you were sleeping, we were at the stove.
We’ve done the heavy lifting - wrestled the cured ham, whipped the butter with honey gathered from a nearby hive, braved the heat of the hickory fire so you don't have to lift a finger—unless it’s to point toward the dessert station!
No dishes. No scorched pans. Just you, the mountain air, and a plate piled high with the soul of the Appalachians.
The work is ours. The glory? Entirely yours.

Our Fork & Film Series Featuring Steel Magnolias
It is April in the Blue Ridge. The dogwoods are exploding in white bursts against a landscape that is finally shaking off the grey lethargy of winter. You are at a lodge up the hill from the blooming laurel. The lights dim, and suddenly the rugged timber of the lodge fades into the soft, humid charm of Chinquapin Township, Louisiana. It is a study in contrasts. Southern women who possess the delicate appearance of blush colored chiffon but the structural integrity of Georgia granite. You watch Shelby’s wedding flicker across the room while you sit for a 5-course Louisiana inspired meal.
Laughter. Tears. And a fine bourbon-laced lemonade. It’s not just a movie night; it’s an emotional transit through the South.
Get Down & Derby at The Lodge
It’s 4:00 PM in the Blue Ridge. The horses gather in the paddock with aristocratic vanity as if they know they’re worth far more than your house.
You’re mingling on a wraparound porch at The Lodge. To your left, a retired orthodontist from Marietta is explaining the "trifecta" to a woman in a hat so large it has its own zip code. To your right, Lower Young Cane Creek - ancient, indifferent, draped in a mist that looks suspiciously like expensive grey silk.
Then, the cup arrives . . . the mint garnish hits your nose. . . it’s a fragrant riot. One sip, and suddenly the dirt track in Louisville feels like your own backyard.
The bugle sounds. A collective hush. For two minutes, we aren't in Georgia. We are simply suspended in the glorious, thundering velocity of hope. In a flash, its over at the track, but not here. Another Mint Julip anyone?
Our Fork & Film Series
For a couple of hours, the lodge becomes a sanctuary of cinema, tucked away from the frantic pace of the modern world.
For this movie night, each dish is a relic, a story, and perhaps a small gamble with fate.
Experience dinner & a movie in our intimate setting with farm to table ingredients providing the perfect backdrop for a night of cinematic archeology.
Say Hola to Cinco de Mayo! An Appalachian Lodge with the Heart of a Vercruz Cantina!
It’s an unlikely marriage. A Mexican fiesta in the heart of Appalachia. But when the first plate of Chocolate Mole Chicken arrives the mountain air suddenly feels like the coast of Oaxaca. In a cultural heist, the band starts - Jose and his boys - a four-piece conga ensemble that understands rhythm is a requirement. Before the second round of Jalapeno Mint Margaritas arrive, the line forms - stretching past the fireplace, weaving through the dining hall - a human chain of joy in a place meant for solitude.
On the menu: Authentic Mexican soul meets Mountain Grit. Carne Asada Strip Steak. Esquites with a heat that rivals a July noon. Jicama and Citrus Salad. Fresh Snapper Ceviche. Chocolate Mole Chicken. Mexican Flan. Tres Leches Cake. and more.
Michael Hulett One Night Engagement!
Bring your friends! Michael Hulett: the man, the musical chameleon, is returning for a one night dinner engagement! This amazing musician is a single artist containing a multitude of talents. The Smooth sound of his voice begins like a whisper in the dark, and transforms throughout the evening from warm, comforting velvet to bold, brazen silk, calling you to the dance floor. His dulcet saxophone stylings bring romance into the room. Come for the evening, or stay for the night at The Lodge with our Stay & Play Package!
Call our front desk to reserve your table!
Mother’s Day Buffet

Best of all, it’s easy going at The Copperhead Lodge. You can enjoy a table in our dining rooms, or on our expansive creek-side deck as spring comes to the hills. Attire at our Flying Trout Restaurant is truly Mountain Casual: leave the tie, and keep the character.
But book your table … reservations vanish faster than a summer morning fog!
Will you be joining us at the carving station, or staying home with the toast and peanut butter?
Mountain Gypsies Channel Their Inner Leprechaun!
St. Patrick’s Night in Blairsville, the kind of evening where the mist clings to the Blue Ridge like a damp Irish wool traveling cloak. We gather at The Lodge, the air thick with the scent of corned beef and bangers and mash.
The bagpipes echo through the hollow. The sound floating along as though drifting in Lower Young Cane Creek. Then, they appear: Curtis and Kim, The Mountain Gypsies. She, with her upright bass that seems carved from a lightning-struck oak, and he, gripping his guitar like a man who’s bartered for his soul in a Dublin pub. They don’t just play; they conjure a rhythmic tale that blurs the line between the Appalachians and the Cliffs of Moher.
The crowd, in a sea of emerald sweaters and questionable plastic hats is swept up in a Celtic fever. It’s the sort of music that makes you want to sell your estate and wander the highlands with nothing but a flask of Jameson and a sturdy pair of brogues.
By the time the last reel fades into the Georgia night, your Guinness will be empty, but your spirit will be dangerously full.
Shamrocks & Shenanigans at The Lodge
We’re not in the rolling hills of Ireland, but we ARE in the rolling hills of Georgia, and - WE’RE IRISH!!!
Our menu is a love letter to The Emerald Isle and we love a good party as any good Irishman (or woman) would!
St. Patrick’s at The Lodge features Bagpipers, Irish Dancers, Live Music, Great Food and Fun.
It’s the kind of night that requires a sturdy brogue and a complete disregard for early mornings! Stay the night with us in a cozy lodge room or cabin.
Shall we reserve a table near the fire or find you a spot by the stage where the dancers kick the highest? Call us to reserve! 706-835-7433
St. Patrick's Lunch & Dinner!
Corned Beef & Cabbage - slow-roasted overnight until it reaches a state of total, buttery surrender.
Colcannon - Last year’s favorite returns! Potatoes and cabbage whipped with enough butter to make a Irishman blush
Bangers & Mash - Banger sausages sizzled on the grill with a bed of Irish butter and cream mashed potatoes
We’ll be featuring Irish treats all day! Join us in the Pub or in the Dining Room. Go Green with us!
Our March Chef's Tasting Dinner - With a Tribute to The Chairman of The Board - A Frank Sinatra Experience! Optional Curated Italian Wine Pairings
March 16th. The eve of the green madness. We won’t be dying the creek a questionable shade of emerald, but we might be practicing our jigs. In The Lodge, the fire is roaring. The chef is possessed. . . Five courses that bridge the gap between a mountain hollow and a Roman piazza. It shouldn’t work, but it does. It’s the culinary equivalent of a bluegrass fiddle playing Vivaldi.
Your server brings in the Italians. A Barolo so deep it has its own gravity. An aromatic Barbaresco that cuts through the mountain mist like a searchlight.
A man steps out of the shadows - his hat cocked at an angle that suggests he knows exactly what you’re thinking and finds it amusing. He starts to sing, and for a moment, the last forty years simply vanish. You’re in the Velvet-Lined Pocket of 1954. He starts into "Summer Wind," and you’d swear the Chairman himself had decided the hills of Georgia were a fine place to spend an evening. By the time he reaches “New York, New York”, you’ve forgotten where you parked. You’ve forgotten your mortgage. You are, quite simply, a character in a much better movie.
Wear something wool. Bring an appetite. Leave the green tie in the suitcase. While the world prepares to wake up with a headache and a plastic hat, you’ll be finishing a glass of Vin Santo by the hearth. Quiet. Refined. Superior.
Would you like The Lodge’s room availability for the night? Call us for a Package Price! 706-835-7433

Old and New Country with some Rock thrown in for flavor. His music takes your mind of everything else.
Gerry Herndon Live At The Lodge
March in the Blue Ridge. The air is undecided—carrying the sharp, lingering sting of winter in the morning, only to soften by dusk into something that smells of the hope of spring just just around the corner.
Inside the lodge, as the light from one of the last fires of the season dances across timbers the music begins. The guitarist is a man whose hands look like they’ve spent the last 20 years chasing ghost melodies through the hollers. He plays with a "lonesome sound". It’s the kind of music that doesn't just fill the room; it anchors it. It tells you that despite the frost still clinging to the north side of the peaks, the world is turning. you’re part of the story of these hills
Mother Legacy Returns To The Lodge
The Soulful Sounds of Mother Legacy are Back!
We’re excited that Mother Legacy will once again grace our dining room! Come in from the cold and listen to the emotional raw vocals of Shay paired with Steven’s smokin’ hot finger-picking guitar and harmonies.
Our FORK & FILM SERIES Continues with DIRTY DANCING
The lights dim. The projector hums. Suddenly, you aren't just sitting in a lodge in the Appalachian mountains; you’re at Kellerman’s! You’re feeling the rhythm. You’re wondering if you, too, could be lifted into the air if the right person—and the right amount of vodka—were involved.
It’s not just a dinner. It’s a coup d'état of the senses. You’ll be dancing in the aisles by the second act.
Reserve a table for the screening and the full pairing menu. You’ll have the thyme of your life!
Don’t Miss Jonah Pierce
Jonah Pierce Premiers his Soulful Country and Americana Music - the sound of lost time, first loves and dusty country roads.
It is as authentic as the Appalachian mountains themselves, where music dances in the wind and blends with the scent of pine, a quiet, soulful reminder of simpler times.
Gregg Erwin is Outlaw Country at The Lodge
The fire warms the Lodge, you sip a glass of something to warm the soul, and Gregg Erwin’s Outlaw Music tells stories of heartbreak, lawlessness and life on the road sung with a style that echoes the working-class struggles of these hills. The music bridges the gap between traditional country and folk lyrics . Everything here—the music, the wood-paneled walls, the distant howl of the wind will take you back to the honky tonk days of Waylon, Willie and The Boys!
2nd Annual Polar Plunge! Call to Register! 706-835-7433
Outside The Copperhead Lodge the pool water holds the deep, unnatural blue of a frozen arctic channel. Steam rises from it like a shared breath. The challenge is simple: in and out. A bracing shock to the system that clears the mind of modern trivialities and reminds you that you are, in fact, alive. It's a testament to the vibrant spirit, a quick dip in the frigid waters that makes the warmth of the lodge, the brandy by the fire, the thick wool socks, feel earned.
This isn’t for everyone. . . Some prefer the toasty world of hot tubs . . . This is for the ones who know a little bit of discomfort makes the comfort all the sweeter. For the brave (or perhaps just the foolhardy!) who like facing the cold head-on!
Join us. The water's waiting. Post-Plunge Hot chocolate or Hot Toddies anyone? Pick your Charity - Cast-Off Pet Rescue or Habitat For Humanity Thrift - Your $60 entrance fee will help people and pets in need!

Special February Chef's Pairing Dinner with MOOK & MIMI Live!
Valentine’s Day is in the rear view mirror. Outside, it's the kind of cold that doesn’t just nip at your nose—it bites. The wind howls like a jilted lover, but inside, the air is warm with the scent of hickory in the fireplace and something far more delicious. It's the beginning of an evening that doesn't just happen - it unfolds.
Mook & Mimi are in the room playing something haunting — maybe just the sound of a heart breaking and mending itself in the span of a single note.
The first wine arrives. Paco & Lola.
The bottle sits there, defiant in its polka dots, a splash of Spanish sunshine on a wintery night. One sip and you know it's the start of a delicious evening. The taste of green apples and a zesty citrus finish that could cut through even the most stubborn mountain chill.
We pair it with a ceviche of local rainbow trout. The acidity of the Albariño dances with the richness of the fish like two spies meeting on a crowded dance floor. Love is in the air. Love of food, love of life, just love.

5 Course Chef's Pairing Dinner
Winter in the Blue Ridge. A mist so thick you could carve your name in it. You’re shivering - until you step inside the log fire heated lodge with it’s smell of burning hickory and aged oak.
It’s primal - Dinner is on the table. It’s home.
Then, the collision: A Napa Valley Cabernet — bold, unapologetic, with the structure of a suspension bridge—shaking hands with a bowl of venison chili. It shouldn’t work. It’s a tuxedo at a barn dance. And yet, it’s magnificent.
Next, a buttery Sonoma Chardonnay, glistening like sunlight on the ocean, paired with pimento cheese grits. The elegance of the coast meets the soul of the soil. It’s a bridge across a continent.
No pretense. No tiny portions. Just honest food, sophisticated grapes, and the heavy silence of the mountains. It’s the dinner you didn’t know you needed, in a place you’ll never want to leave.
Limited Seating, please let us know you plan to visit!
Wrecking Roses Canceled!
Due to the expected bad weather, Wrecking Roses has canceled as they have a long drive.
You’ll want to be here for the beautiful harmonies as Wrecking Roses brings their Indy Country style to The Flying Trout at The Copperhead Lodge.
Our Guests Heard Dean Parker and Asked for More!
A curated selection of acoustic melodies, perfect for dinner on a rural evening. Music that evokes wide-open spaces and the quiet rattle of a screen door in the wind.
Dean Parker doesn't demand your attention, he invites it; creating a mood that’s meant to be enjoyed by the wood fire.
National Hot Toddy Day - A Day Early!
January 11. 1924? 1952? 2026? It doesn't matter.
The air in the Blue Ridge doesn’t just get cold; it gets personal. It’s a damp, bone-deep chill that settles into your marrow while you’re tracking a stray scent or simply watching the fog swallow the hickories. You need more than a fire. You need a legend in a glass.
Scottish doctors in the 1700s called it a "cure-all". In the 1920s, a certain Dr. Todd prescribed it for the soul as much as the sinuses. Here at The Lodge we call it survival.
We start with a bourbon that’s spent more time in charred oak than most people spend in school. Add a dollop of honey from a neighbor who keeps bees and secrets in equal measure - Thanks David. A squeeze of lemon. A cinnamon stick for authority. It’s served in a mug heavy enough to anchor you to the porch while the world swirls around you.
We're Being Struck by Lightning 2!
Sing-Along Pop, Rock & Country Favorites! One moment, it’s the driving, rhythmic pulse of heartland rock that makes you want to put the top down on the '65 convertible. The next, a country lament so pure it could make a statue weep, followed by a pop anthem that possesses the uncanny ability to turn a room of strangers into a choir of old friends. It is music without pretense—unfiltered, infectious, and melodic!
