Our Passport Dinner Series is Bringing it Home

This won’t be just a meal, but a gastronomic odyssey cross the backbone of this great republic.

From the East Coast to Chicago then onward. Perhaps a deep-dish tartlet, thick and oozing with a tomato sauce … St. Louis ribs—charred, sticky, and defiant. We move west, the flavors shifting like the gears of a '55 Fairlane. A Tex-Mex moment or a New Mexican blue corn enchilada? By the time we reach the California coast, you won’t just be full, you’ll be reclaimed - was a boy or girl again, staring at a Rand McNally atlas, dreaming of the white lines and the neon hum of the Blue Swallow Motel along Route 66.

Not just a dinner. It’s the American Dream, served with a side of extra napkins.

It is a story of rogue spirits. Sweaty volleyball matches. Leather Jackets. Renegade pilots pushing Mach 2.

You feel the need—the burning, insatiable need—for an evening of fun and food. By the time the credits roll, you are ready to walk out to the tarmac, zip up your flight suit, and stare directly into the danger zone.

A Legendary Whiskey Pairing Dinner - Featuring James E Pepper!!

A Toast to 250 Years of the American Spirit

Two hundred and fifty years ago, a nation was forged in the fires of revolution. That very same year, in 1776, the Pepper family began distilling a bold, uncompromising whiskey that would fuel the American journey. Gather beneath the Lodge’s rustic timber beams for a ritual as old as the hills: a whiskey pairing dinner. The legendary spirits of James E Pepper are the perfect choice for our culinary journey through American history.

Historic pours meet an Artisanal Mountain Menu. Sip the legendary 1776 expression and rare barrel-proof selections. Each course is crafted to complement bold whiskey profiles.

Flavors include: James E. Pepper Barrel Bourbon. Uncut. Unfiltered. A roaring fire of vanilla, toasted oak, and deep caramel == paired with slow-braised wild boar shank over creamy, Logan Mill stone-ground pepper jack grits.

Dueling Pianos! Third Tuesday Every Month

For years the premier Dueling Pianos act in Atlanta, the Andrew’s Brothers are now a fixture at The Copperhead Lodge! The crowd picks the songs, so each show is different —- but ALWAYS fun! Part Comedy Show, Part Concert, and Wholly Entertaining!

The Andrews Brothers take the stage - ringmasters of a hysterical musical battle. Two men. Two pianos. No sheet music. No safety nets. Audience requests and high-energy vibes as one piano launches a volley of classic Billy Joel; the other counters with a fierce, driving Elton John riff. . . The crowd taking sides.

The entire room erupts into a unified, glass-rattling chorus of "Sweet Caroline". The rafters actually shake.

Don't miss Dueling Pianos on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. It’s a night of sing-alongs and great company!

Who’d’ve thunk? A man clad in six-inch platform boots, a white sequined coat, and oversized, ruby-tinted glasses … all the glamor of 1970s London … is such a hit in these hills.

By popular demand, we’re bringing back the "Rocket Man"! He’s saying “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and hello Blue Ridge Mountains. As ‘Bennie and the Jets” echoes through the rafters of the Lodge, the crowd always joins in.

The Copperhead Lodge invites you to an evening where the silver screen meets the silver spoon. Please join us for a cinematic culinary journey through the rain-slicked streets of Manhattan, hosted right here in the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains. The screen flickers to life. , .

Audrey.

Sunday Supper - Family Style Dining The Way it Used to Be

The Flying Trout presents Sunday Supper - a ritual as old as people have lived in these hills. Not "brunch" exactly - that’s a city word for people in too much of a hurry ... This is family style.

The table is a rustic wooden expanse buried under the bounty of the Blue Ridge prepared with love by Matthew.

You'll almost always see fried chicken, golden and  crackly giving way to tender meat; bowls of sides like collard greens that have simmered since the first bird sang in the morning, mashed potatoes, fried okra, corn muffins, biscuits, corn; a fruit cobbler, perhaps peach or blackberry, still bubbling from the oven, all served with a pitcher of iced tea that sweats in the mountain air.

Sit on the creek-side deck or in our dining room. We'll bring bowls of food, you select what suits you. Mountain Casual dining in heart of the hills.

Reservations recommended, but definitely not required.  706-745-8000

Scottish Festival & Highland Games Returns to The North Georgia Mountains!

A wall of bagpipes that vibrates right through the Blue Ridge Hills.

Men the size of glacial boulders throw telephone poles farther than you can pitch a fit. It defies physics. It defies reason. It demands a sturdy pair of brogues.

A sea of crimson, emerald, and navy wool. Every man is a king in his own mind, wearing the colors of ancestors who fought the English with nothing but iron and spite.

THE SCOTTISH FESTIVAL AND HIGHLAND GAMES ARE AT THE NORTH GEORGIA FAIRGROUNDS! A favorite in these hills for decades!

By dusk, you return to the Lodge. Your boots are caked in red Georgia clay, your ears are ringing with the Piobaireachd, and you have a sudden, inexplicable urge to buy a broadsword. But instead you can relax with your thoughts of Braveheart while enjoying Fresh Local Rainbow Trout prepared Copperhead Style!

We’ll see ya here - and there!

Caleb Schneider brings G.I. Jive Radio Live to The Lodge

On the patio of the Copperhead Lodge, the air is jumping. Pitmaster Clayton has spent the last eighteen hours wrestling baby back ribs and pork butt into submission, and the result is a low-and-slow masterpiece of Texas toast and baked beans that would make a drill sergeant weep.

On the Lodge Deck, a 14-year-old in a crisp, period-correct uniform adjusts his headset. He is Caleb, the tireless spirit behind G.I. Jive Radio. The music is as sharp as a newly pressed crease in a pair of wool trousers. Glenn Miller’s brass section slices through the mountain fog; Ella Fitzgerald is swinging straight into the heart.

Caleb’s voice bridges the gap between a 1940s foxhole and a 2026 Memorial Day afternoon. He hasn’t just curated a playlist; he has summoned the ghosts of the USO dances at Camp Toccoa. He talks to veterans with the reverence of a historian, reminding us all exactly why we have the day off.

You won’t want to miss this genius.

Our Chef’s Dinner —- Catena Wines Paired! Featuring Music by Mook & Mimi!

The air at the Bodega Catena Zapata - Pioneers of Argentine Malbec - carries the scent of melting Andean snow and the ghost of a tango danced in a dusty plaza in 1924. Perhaps that tango gave rise to the idea to plant grapes and make wines…. and over 100 years later Catena’s wines are still being produced. Highly regarded and receiving numerous awards and accolades, these wines are the soul of Argentina in a bottle. Join us as we delve into the specific flavor profiles of these high-altitude malbecs, cabs, and chardonnays.

Jorge Liroy, premier Catena Fine Wine Specialist, will join us exclusively at The Lodge to present these wines. Our team will pair a dish for each wine for a curated dinner experience.

Not a Wine Person? You don’t need a glass of red to feel the pulse of the Andes. You only need an appetite and a soul. Come for the conversation. Come for the music. Come for the 5-course Chef’s Dinner. The table is set. The wine is optional. The experience with Mook & Mimi is everything!

Fly Away Brunch

You’ve spent the morning inhaling the intoxicating perfume of castor oil and aviation fuel. Your eyes are weary from tracing the polished chrome of a 1957 roadster and the riveted wings of a taildragger. You are famished. Not for a protein bar or a cardboard coffee, but for the kind of sustenance that fueled the men who built this country.

Just down the road, a stone’s throw from the Blairsville runway, there is a table waiting. It’s "Sunday Supper" served with the communal spirit of a country barn raising. No menus. No pretension. Just plates passed by hand, laden with fried chicken so crisp it snaps like a dry twig and buttermilk biscuits that defy the laws of gravity.

Wine & Wine Down: Wine Yoga on The Lawn

May 9th. 6:00 PM. The lawn at The Copperhead Lodge: The sun is dipping low, casting long, dramatic shadows across the grass—the kind of shadows that make a gal look like she’s actually mastered the Warrior II pose, even if she’s mostly just trying not to spill her drink.

We provide the atmosphere… The mountain air, the crispy Sauvignon that tastes of tropical citrus and lost youth.

You provide the flexibility—or at least a spirited attempt at it.

It’s yoga. It’s wine. It’s the realization that life is too short to stretch without a glass of something fermented in your hand.
